Job Hunting: The Journey
Well, last Monday (May 11, 2009), I went to ACS to apply as a customer service representative. As a former colleague and a friend of mine, Brenda, informed me that there is an opening in their account.
Before anything else, this ACS is different from where I previously came from. ACS stands for Affiliated Computer Services or rather called ACS OF THE PHILIPPINES, is located at the One E-Com Building, right beside the SM Mall of Asia’s Hypermart.
My very first job as a callcenter agent was with ACS, which stands for Advance Contact Solutions, located in Makati.
My life partner, Omel, came along to give support.
Anyways, we got there around 1 o’clock in the afternoon. The first exam was grammar and sentence construction. Easy.
Second was a typing exam. This got me perplexed. For, the keyboard that they are using got these really big keys on it. Good thing I passed. LOL!
Third was softskills evaluation cum interview. Again, easy.
Fourth was a full interview (initial interview), in where they asked questions about my previous experiences with ACS and TeleTech Bacoor. I passed this one, as well. And here, I found out that they’re going to put me in a healthcare account, in which I already have a background with.
Then, the interviewer asked me if I would like the final interview to be conducted within the same day or would I go back the next day. I opted to take the final interview within the same day. But, it will be conducted 2hours later, 8pm to be exact. Which is just fine for me and Omel were already dead hungry.
So, we dropped-by KFC and ate like there’s no tomorrow. After that, we hanged-out at the sea front to relax and to camwhore!

Then we headed back to ACS’s office for my final interview.
Final interview went well. It was just all for formalities. The interviewer was quite impressed by my background. Too bad, he informed me that I have to wait for a call within 24-48hours to find out the results.
Needless to say, we went home. But, with high hopes.
